About Annabelle Koger

From a little girl with a Disney Princess camera to a full-time wedding photographer — every chapter has shaped how I serve you.

When Photos Became the Only Thing Left

Rooted in Legacy, Fueled by Love

It was my seventh birthday when my father, Hershell, placed my very first camera in my hands — a little Disney princess disposable you’d find at the corner drugstore. I remember finishing the roll of film within hours, capturing blades of grass in our backyard, the trampoline, and anything else that caught my eye. What started as a childlike curiosity quietly grew into a deep love for photography.

By twelve, I was saving every dollar I could for my first “real” camera. My dad, always my encourager, promised to match whatever I saved. Together, we reached $500, and I purchased my very first DSLR- a milestone that would become the foundation of the work I do today.

When I booked my first wedding at eighteen, he was the first person I called. He was my greatest supporter, the steady voice reminding me that entrepreneurship was something I could be truly good at (and he was right). He cheered me on wholeheartedly until September of 2021, after a long battle with Covid when God called him home.

Everything about the way I approach my work shifted in that season. Grief, especially when you know Jesus, changes you. Scripture reminds us that we do not grieve as the world grieves, and that truth has profoundly shaped both who I am and how I see the world. Photography, for me, became more than a craft, or even a career. It became the way I love and serve others.

That’s why, if you’ve noticed, my work leans heavily into capturing emotion. Every wedding I am entrusted with, I document not only the portraits or the details, but the heartbeat of the day- the moments of joy, tenderness, and presence that truly tell the story. I approach it as if it were my ministry, because in many ways, it is.

Faith is at the foundation of everything I do, and my photography is no different. Fifty years from now, I want my couples and their loved ones to be able to look back and remember the goodness of God woven throughout their wedding day. Luxury, to me, is not simply about beauty or refinement, it is about meaning. It is about creating something timeless, soulful, and true to the story of each couple I have the honor of serving.

Who I Am Today

A Photographer Who Sees the Beauty in Real Moments

In 2016, I officially launched Annabelle G Photography — a prayerful step that began when I asked God for a sign. Within minutes, a wedding planner I had never spoken to messaged me about shooting a high-end wedding. I said yes, and I’ve never looked back. That moment confirmed what I already felt in my spirit- this work was meant for me.

Since then, I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings across Middle Tennessee and North Alabama, My work has been passed along through word-of-mouth and client referrals, and I’ve been nominated by top venues as a trusted vendor. But what matters most to me is the experience I provide to my clients.

I’m also a mother to a wildly creative 7-year-old boy who reminds me daily that he is really good at minecraft (and he is). Together we enjoy pottery classes, bike rides and bonfires, and on the off chance I have a night away from him, I'm usually west coast swing dancing in downtown Huntsville.

Rooted in Faith and Purpose

My faith shapes the way I serve and create. I believe marriage is holy and sacred, and it’s my joy to honor that through heartfelt, meaningful photography.
