We started the morning around 8 a.m., letting the natural window light pour in as they decorated their Christmas tree together. The kids carefully hung all their favorite ornaments — some handmade, some collected over the years — and it felt like watching their family’s memories come to life. They were still in their Christmas pajamas, sipping on hot cocoa, giggling as they tried to hang ornaments just a little too high for their reach.
